Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow missed Monday night’s game against the New York Giants with an “undisclosed illness” that hospitalized him for several days. We wish him well in his recovery. We also wish to know WTF happened.
Winslow, whose NFL career has been slowed by injuries, was released Sunday from the Cleveland Clinic, where he spent three nights. Citing privacy laws, the Browns have not publicly discussed Winslow’s illness. He was able to practice one day last week before he began to feel ill.
Various Reports have said Kellen has swollen testicles. This, if true, could mean that Kellen has one of a few conditions. Mostl likely, an acumulation of fluid around his testicle called a hydrocele. He may also have a spermatocele, which is a painful cyst. Either way, you now understand your testicles better.
