The way Dante Culpepper’s career abruptly ended just isn’t right, and we’re not gonna rest until somebody does something about it.
The former NFL baller summed up his thoughts Thursday in two words, ushering in a new era for the former Pro Bowl quarterback.
“Farewell NFL,” he wrote.
Culpepper, who starred for the Minnesota Vikings before a major knee injury in 2005 curtailed his career, announced his retirement in an e-mail Thursday morning, saying he’s simply grown tired of fighting for one more opportunity.
He tried to resuscitate his career with Miami in 2006 and Oakland last season, struggling in both of those stops, and wasn’t in training camp with any teams this year.
“Since I was not given a fair chance to come in and compete for a job, I would rather move on and win in other arenas of life,” Culpepper said.
Juice: Will somebody sign this guy? Seriously, somebody sign him. Baltimore? Atlanta? Green Bay? Canada?

its insane that the packers have not signed this guy. they have a guy that has only proved throughout his short clipboard holding career to be good at getting hurt in very little action. i like rodgers but almost hope he goes down for those dumb dick head front office gurus in green town.

I don’t like Dante. But this is sad.
