Watching football games on CBS just got a little more interesting. Thanks to the re-addition of Danny “The Verbal Butcher” Fouts.
Former Chargers bearded quarterback Dan Fouts, for years paired with Keith Jackson on ABC, is returning to the NFL as a game analyst on CBS.
Fouts will do selected games, including some with Dick Enberg and Randy Cross.
Former Chief Rich Gannon will again be paired up with Kansas City’s Kevin Harlan.
The other pairings include: Jim Nantz-Phil Simms; Greg Gumbel-Dan Dierdorf; Dick Enberg-Randy Cross-Dan Fouts; Ian Eagle-Solomon Wilcots; Gus Johnson-Steve Tasker. On the roster for selected games will be Don Criqui, Bill Macatee, SteveBeuerlein and Fouts.
Juice: The CBS announcer line-up is BUNK. Jim “sleepy time” Nantz, Gregg “My Brother lacks testosterone” Gumbel, Dan Smiernoff….the list goes on. Anyway, the best ‘Dan Fouts Impression’ ever was season 26, episode 1 of Saturday Night Live. Send us the video clip if you can find it.
