Michael Haynes, the 14th pick in the 2003 draft, was visiting with landscape designers Friday afternoon when a visitor arrived. Among the topics of discussion, the possibility of going with zoysia grass at his 10-acre estate. Such are the decisions he’s facing in building a life after football with a new family and entering the corporate world as a high-end real estate agent in the ever-expanding Research Triangle area. Things didn’t work out for Haynes with the Bears or in the NFL, but he’s understandably offended by comparisons made between him and Benson, who was cut Monday.  [Full Story Here]

Cedric has always been lazy,” Haynes said. ”Cedric was lazy when he first got to Chicago, and I guarantee you he is lazy now. It’s the work ethic that a lot of teammates didn’t like. When I was there and things didn’t work out, I always showed up and I always worked hard. I tried really hard, and I never complained.”
