Second-year Falcons safety Daren Stone was arrested in downtown Atlanta just before sunrise Sunday morning and charged with driving under the influence.
He was released about 5:30 p.m. Sunday after posting a $1,591 bond, an official with the City of Atlanta jail confirmed.
Stone is the second Falcon arrested in the last month. Star linebacker Michael Boley was jailed May 3, charged with battery after his wife told police he “became physical” with her.
The Jamaican-born Stone saw limited action last season. The University of Maine graduate was selected in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft [Full Story Here]
When Stone was pulled over, he was not overheard saying: ”Yah mon, having a little whiskey and getting behind the wheel never hurt nobody, mon. Take a puff of this Jamaican cheeba and love each other, mon.”
