Boy Wears Favre Jersey For Five Years

All little David Witthoft wanted for Christmas in 2003 was a classic Brett Favre jersey.  Santa answered the boys wishes and got him a perfect one.   David then proceeded to wear the shirt every day….for the next 5 years.  He wore the shirt for 1,581 days to be exact.   

David’s father, Chuck Witthoft, said Monday that his son’s last day wearing the jersey was April 23 on his 12th birthday. Chuck said his son was starting to become more concerned about his appearance after the jersey barely came down to his belt line.

His mother, Carolyn, had washed the jersey every other day and mended it when needed. [Associated Press]

This kid knows nothing about records.  John Madden wore an old Favre jock strap from 1993 to 2005.  “Here’s a guy who wears a jock strap to protect his boy parts”
