Player Sighting: Romo, Vegas, Not So “Money”

Reports are saying that Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo had a major fall-out this weekend in Vegas.

Tony arrived on Thursday checking into the Hard Rock Hotel.  He was with fellow Cowboys Jason Witten and Anthony Fasano for the retirement celebrations of team-mate Marco Rivera.

Things got salty when Tony and the players all hit the Peacock Lounge for high limit blackjack. Jessica was said to have won $5,000.  Tony was given $15,000 in appearance money and hit the blackjack hard.  According to [LasVegasMagazine],  that’s when Romo fumbled away nearly $2.5 million.

Hard Rock officials offered to pay Jessica a bonus $25,000 if she’d co-host at Body English the second night with Blackjack loser Tony.  She declined faster than Romo’s AMEX.  [Source: VegasLuxeLife, Deadspin]

Everybody’s lost a hundred, maybe a couple thousand, in blackjack donations.  But $2.5 million?  “Somebody” needs to know when to hold em’, and know when to walk away…..  We’re waiting for responses from several sources on how accurate this dollar amount is, as well as how many times Tony double-downed on dealer face cards.
