Andy and the Eagles Draft (Non-Atkins Edition)

A quick glance of the Beagles draft this year:

They bailed out of the first round rather than take a WR too high and then got the guy they liked, DeSean Jackson, in the second. They also picked up Carolina’s No. 1 next year. Got o-line help in Mike McGlynn but reached a bit for him, added secondary help later and those were at least slight reaches too — though FS Quintin Demps shows some real ability.   Also added Wisconsin CB Jack Ikegwuonu who recently suffered a blown ACL.  He also is awaiting trial for a Residential burglary arrest, which happpens to be a Class 1 felony arrest.  To read a killer article on this years Eagles draft, visit here.

We think Andy Reid is a great guy and great coach, but this draft seems weak.  Furthermore, his double chin has not improved since last season.  Not mad, just disappointed.
