Brett Favre has not filed his reitrement papers yet. Favre’s agent James “Bus” Cook, said he had no idea where Favre was in the process of filing the paperwork that would finalize his retirement.
The Packers will gain $11.4 Million under the salary cap when he files the papers. Ted Thompson the Packers GM says it doesn’t matter because they don’t need the cash. The Packers will be $32.55 Million below the cap- the best in the league.

One thing is for sure, Packer GM Ted Thompson is either the cheapest human being alive, or a genius. Based on how effective his young team played last year, while totally neglecting free agency, you gotta give props. No?
