Dilfer Fired, 1 Day After Birthday

Wednesday we proudly displayed overachiever Trent Dilfer as the Birthday Baller of the Day.

Thursday, he was fired. Coincidence? We think not.

The Fresno State graduate played for the Buccaneers (1994-99), Baltimore (2000), Seattle (2001-04), Cleveland (2005) and San Francisco over his 14-year career. He started 113 games in his career, making the Pro Bowl in 1997.

Could this be the Birthday Baller Curse? Maybe today’s Birthday Baller, Ronald Dayne will get cut on Saturday. We’re all over it.
